On Sat.- 1-31- the HBC Ultra Cycling is putting on a 200k ride starting at Barfield Elementary School(off HWY 231). Check out their website (HBC link on our site)under Ultra Cycling, Brevet Rides for more information.
My pace along with others will be steady paced so it will be a good opportunity to get some good long base miles in.
The ride will start at 7 am so you need to be there around 6:15 am. You will need to pre-registar and print off a route map and cuesheet today. None will be available at the ride.
These are public roads so you could ride all or part of the route and not be part of the official ride if you wish.
Only cost is you must be HBC member ($25) for insurance purposes. It is also an official RUSA (www.rusa.org) brevet but you do not have to be a RUSA member to ride.
Time limit on the ride is 13.5 hour so if you will finish after dark you will need headlight(s) and tail light(s) and reflective vest or sash belt.
