Can anybody recommend an accountant that would take my taxes at this late date and won't charge 4 arms and 2 legs for the service? My taxes are a bit complicated because of investments, dividends, captial gains/losses, IRA distributions, etc., and I want to be sure that they are done correctly. Through inlaws, I used to get my taxes done for free. However, with a bitter divorce and remarriage on that side, I think my little gravy-train has left the station for good.

Try Kenneth Hillman in M'boro. He is the owner of Sunshine Nutrition Center (on Church Street) and does tax returns "on the side". I have used him for a few years now; he is very good and very reasonable in fees charged. Quick too!

I use Alan Sellers in Mboro, that reminds me I haven't turned mine in yet either. Ops.

All you have to do is get the #s in the right places. It works easily if your only complications relate to investments. I may know where you could get a copy to try.
