This was a great ride. I guess there were around 700 riders. The course was perfect...even pull tight hill or whatever it was called. I saw 47 mph on the back side of that one! Anyway, it was great fun. Good food at Jack Daniels and at the end of the ride. The weather was perfect.

I broke a spoke about 7 miles from the end on Saturday somehow. Must have been all that torque that I generate! ha. Anyway, I happened to have just passed the last rest stop that had a REI bike tech. He had me going in about 30 minutes. And btw, what you heard about bending a broken spoke around another spoke and continuing on. Forget it! The wheel was so out of true that it wouldnt even turn. Everything was good by the end of the day however.
