6-2 Comfort Zone route

The Comfort Zone ride will also leave from Buchanan school at 8:00. The full route is about 14 miles with a few climbs or you can opt out on the hills at the half-way point, to get about 10 relatively flat miles. Easy pace, no one left behind, ride leader for either option.

Re: 6-2 Comfort Zone route

Do you have a cue sheet for this ride? Would like to look at what you mean by "hills"

It is my opinion that "hills" should not be part of a comfort ride.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Re: 6-2 Comfort Zone route

The 10 mile option is very flat all but 2 passes over I-24 that are a inconvenient necessity. For any riders that are up to a fun challenge, there’s a 4-mile loop (that is not flat) that can be picked up at about 7 miles. The last mile of this loop is a fun gradual downhill.

Come on and join us, no one left behind and there will be a leader for either option.

Quickie cue sheet
From Buchanan school:
Mt Tabor to Elam
Cross 1-24, then left on Gum
Re-cross 1-24, cross Hwy 41
At stop sign at Mankin-Mcknight (approx. 7 miles)
Right for 4 mile not flat loop option
Left to stay on flat option
Veer left at Cedar Grove Y
Right at Hwy 41 back to school

Thanks Danita, that's what I needed to know.

Re: 6-2 Comfort Zone route

Do you guys have anything planned for Sunday? I'll be at TDC on Saturday.

Re: Re: 6-2 Comfort Zone route

Josh, the regular Sunday ride this week is from Mark Dement's house, 6903 Lascassas Highway. 5 p.m. Mark's number is 273-2216.

Re: Re: Re: 6-2 Comfort Zone route

Is the Sunday ride from Mark's house the ride for new riders?

Re: Re: Re: Re: 6-2 Comfort Zone route

Steve,
Sunday rides are a regular club ride, about 20-25 miles. Beginners meet at the Saturday morning club ride and usually ride 10-12 miles.
Please come out and join us today....it will be a moderate pace, about 15 mph.

Not sure if I will make this or not. I would like to join the club though.
