Thank you for your good information on our dangerous intersection concerning Hwy 96. I would like to change it to this

Starting at Old Salem Rd on original Route
Turn right on Rucker LN
Turn left on Mooreland LN
Cross Hwy 96 to Beasley Rd (This would be a straight cross and have a police officer at it.)
Turn left on Shores
Turn right on Hwy 102 Almaville Rd.
Continue original route

This would change the distance by about 5 miles but reduce the risk of an accident.
The other change that we looked at was doing our 32-mile route twice.

That's an excellent route change. Be aware there is construction at or near Moreland and Beasley. Just be sure to tell the riders starting out to be cautious at those two areas. Typically there is not a great deal of traffic at either of those places on Saturday morning before 9:00 or so.
