It's the "Tennessee Atlas and Gazeteer" published by DeLorme. Available at most any book store. WalMart usually has them, sometimes in the sporting goods section, sometimes in the book/magazine section, sometimes on the 'impulse buy' rack at the checkout.
You most definitely should use the GMaps Pedometer to map out your own routes. It calculates the mileage for you using the Google Maps database. The database that this particular function uses seems to be about 2 years old (unlike Google Maps main), but this was designed for runners and hikers, so you can just map out your route as if any new road is there. (Mboro is growing fast) It is very good, and you can save or print the routes you make.
