374th

I was talking to my grandfather over the weekend, he showed me his scrapbook from WWII. His name is Duane C. Betry. He was stationed in Bottisham (?) with the 8th AAF, 361fg, 374th fs. as an engineer I think.

He Designed the logo/patch for the 374th.

While doing numerous searches on the web, I stumbled across this one. What a great site! I will be checking in from now on. I would like to know more about the 361st, and in particular the 374th.

Happy 4th!

Re: 374th

I am excited to hear that your Grandfather was in the 374Th. My Uncle Alfred B. Cook "Cookie" was in the squadron as a pilot. He last flew Vernon Richards P-51B, the TIKA IV. I have been looking for the patch for a jacket from the 374th.

I have been doing a lot of research on the group. My daughter lives in England about 6 miles from Little Walden. We visit every other year.

It would be great if we could correspond. I have so many un-answered question begging for an answer.

I emailed both of you with contact info for the 361stFG Association.

Also take a look at this 361st site too.

Hi There

I just thought I would let you know, I have the engine of your uncles last aircraft he lost his life in.

I have it in a private collection.
