I just wanted to inform the board that my father in law is James Golden who was a 361 pilot shot down over France in a P-51 on D-Day. He was taken prisoner and spent the rest of the war in Stallag Luft III.
He is today 89.
I do not know if your historians desire any information from him, but if so, I can put you in contact with him if you are not already aware of his amazing story and life.
If he has any stories or photographs he would like to share I would love to publish them on 361fg.com
Also if he has any memorabila from his time with the group we are opening a museum at Bottisham dedicated to the group and we could make a diaplay in his honour.
Many thanks for your kind replies. I have included your messages into an email to Jim and Liz this evening. I have also been contacted by Scott Ramsey who has requested an interview with Jim, so maybe you all know each other and can share some of the info?
Regardless, I am passing on your contact info and am happy to be a go between for calls/interviews for information of the history as he fits into it.
