I am looking for anyone who can help me with fate and cause/details of loss of Mustang 43-24768 on June 21, 1944 with Lt. Warren Ewert - POW. Any photo of this man?

On a mission to Regensburg on July 21, 1944, Lt. Warren Ewert's plane was hit by flak. He survived as a POW. An attaempt to find him after the war was not successful, but learned from government sources that he had passed away in the 70s.
