I am in the process of painting a 72nd scale model of P-51B "Bald Eagle" as it appeared on June 6th 1944 in full D-Day stripes. I found a picture of the right side which provides details but I have not found a picture of the right side from this time frame. From the famous picture taken in the fall of 1944 alot of details can be exstablished for the markings.
The detail I am looking for is the number of kill markings "Bald Eagle" carried on June 6th 1944. can anyone help with this?
