I too was with Task Force Grapple on Christmas Island during the final wind up of Grapple between April 1959 and April 1960.
Whilst I must admit I have lost many fellow servicemen through radiation related illnesses. As for myself. OK at 66 I'm not in perfect health, but that is mostly due to age, and work environment since leaving the services. However. On my return to UK I married and had three daughters who are in good health, they in turn have produced five children between them who are also in good health.
