Is there anyone still living (after the terrible Hbomb testing on Christmas Island) who can help me.
My late father was out there in, I believe about 1958. He was with the Fire Section, who hosed everything down after the explosions. His name was Alan Johnson, but was known more as Johnny Johnson.
Sadly he died in 1988 aged 56, and was suffering from numerous health problems, poor soul, (nothing to do with Christmas Island) OH NO!!!!!! Sorry, I'm still very bitter, but I know I'm not alone.
But I am desperate for anyone who might still have photographs, that may have a photograph of him. Due to a family disaster, sadly we have very few photographs of him.
So if you could help, I'd love to hear from any one who served with him.
