Hi! I am proud, humbled and honored to be a host home for two of the most wonderful players for the Midwest Sliders, Jonnie Noble and Zack Pace. At one time, I had four (4) gentlemen living at my home, however, as baseball (and other sports) are forever changing players, with trades, releases, etc., God knew what he was doing when he kept Jonnie and Zack with me.

I had rotator cuff surgery in March and had almost decided not to become a host home. However, my heart changed my mind and I'm glad it did!

Jonnie and Zack are beyond any expectations I had. They are polite, helpful around the house, dedicated, professional and definitely determined to chase AND FULFILL their dream of making it into the Major League. They work out above and beyond what is asked of them, always on time for practices, the bus when they go on road trips and best of all they don't complain about my cooking!

We've already enjoyed some wonderful times together, a lot of laughs and they have also given me unconditional support knowing my oldest sister is battling cancer for the fourth time.

Jonnie has tried to set the kitchen on fire (thank God he didn't succeed), wants to take one of my cats home with him (I've already told him he could), is considerate of my privacy and quiet time and is dedicated to his faith. Zack has built a fire pit for me, helped to grill when I've had bar-b-ques for some of the players, helped to clean up, (and so has Jonnie), planted trees, made a concrete block pathway, completly organized, swept and cleaned my garage for me when I was away for a weekend (what a GREAT surprise to come home to!), also respects my quiet time and we all enjoy each other's company and get along great! I have attended all but 2 home games thus far and not only do I plan on attending all of the remaining home games as well, but I also plan on attending some of the out of town games.

I'm certain there will be other precious memories that I will carry with me after the season is done, however, I also am confident that we will stay in touch with each other and I will end up going to some of the MLB games wherever Jonnie and Zack will be playing!

To those of you who read this, I encourage you to be a host home. It's the best experience I have ever had in my entire life (other than the birth of my daughter! :)
