Reminder - JDRF Group Bike Ride and Family Picnic this Friday afternoon, 4-6 pm, at Owl Park on Concord Rd in Brentwood. All levels (from trikes to bikes) are welcome! The forecast is "80 degrees and partly cloudy"...perfect!
Jesse Clark will be leading the trikes and beginners on the one-mile paved loop trail. Morgan from Team Type 1 will take experienced road cyclists on a moderate cruise from Concord Rd (10-15 mile or 45 minutes). We'll have food and drinks courtesy of SANOFI and a Q & A session with top athletes who have type 1 diabetes. This is a great chance for parents of kids with type 1 to learn more about managing diabetes during sports from some elite athletes with type 1. If you don't have a bike, that's OK too. Just come to chat, hang, and learn. This place has an awesome playground for the little ones. Dogs and strollers welcome!
