Your route looks great, though I'll be a little surprised if Dement Hollow and B Tenpenny Road turn out to be paved. I've done Locke Creek a bunch and just can't remember where Tenpenny comes in. Guess I'll find out. That's okay, just more adventure. We did a tandem/triple adventure ride in that area earlier in the winter. Found some really steep and gravelly places (read: bring your cyclocross shoes). Nice.
The Pleasant Ridge section is at least a 10 dog per mile road. It has been a spell since I was in the Tenpenny and Dement areas, but the last time I was there the roads did not connect because a section had been closed. I don't think there is a road east out of Porterfield that will get us to Lock Creek or the Auburntown-Woodbury Road Overpass and the 35 dogs which will be waiting for us.
I'm looking on google earth satellite - all appear to be connected on the Dement/Tenpenny pathway - but I cannot tell if pavement exists. I wish I had time to preview - but I do not.
It's about a 2 - 2.5 mile jaunt from when we turn off Porterfield on to Dement until it connects into Locke Creek according to the map I'm looking at - a little hike never hurt anyone. :) Bring your dog repellent and walking shoes and sense of humor.
I don't think Dement Hollow goes through. No connection is a reason to take Locke Creek & also why it wasn't considered for HOT....hmmmm new road. (but I've thought wrong before)
Up Locke Creek is a little steep for this time of year. The next connection to Pleasant Ridge is Auburntown but a more interesting choice is Doolittle.
Perhaps scout Dement with bailout option to Doolittle. It appears to add a few miles.
No going up Locke Creek when I'm the creator - so I'll rework the route - figure in a 30 miler and post something after we walk the dogs and eat some supper.
