Hi new here I don't much about biking and I'm looking for all the pointers I can get. I just got a new road bike and am doing about 30 miles a ride. My best ride was about 54miles on a old mountain bike just looking to see what I can'do'and what equipment I need to get there. Thanks for any'advice ypu'can give to a new guy.
Well if you've rode 54 miles on a mountain bike then I think you will do just fine on a ride bike. As for what you need... It's a bike and helmet. Everything else is optional but I highly recommend a good pair of bib short, jersey, glasses, and clippless pedals with cycling shoes.
