Two distance choices again this week. The two routes are common except that the longer route adds Whitus and Hutson and a stretch of Panther Creek. You'll need to be able to average about 14.7mph to complete the long route by sunset.
I'm planning to ride & sweep the longer route, which rejoins the short route at mile 12. From that point I'll check on any short riders that we catch. If there are new riders that only want to ride the shorter route, I can ride/sweep that route with you instead.
I am not worried so much about rain but about the 21 mph winds that are in the forecast for 5 PM. Of course, I am sure that Mark has designed this route with a full tail wind in all directions maybe we will pull that 16 average we have been looking for.
Don't be skairt of the wind. I rode 7 straight days in Texas last month and we maybe had 1 day when the wind was below 20mph. Just set your sights on getting through the first part with the headwind, and then enjoy the return!
