Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

Be careful at the Clarksville ride--and best of luck!

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

I plan to drive up early that morning. And no Cary,I am going to try it on a geared bike.If I am able to do it on a geared bike this year then I might try it on a fixie next year.

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

Right now I think we are going up that morning, but that could change. We should probably agree to meet that morning near the entrance to the school building.

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

You should be able to do a 20 mph avg with no problem. I did it in 5 hours flat (not counting rest stops) a few years back on a tandem (although my stoker was a little beat up at the end). My best ever century time.

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

Just checked with the wife...I'm in!

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

I'm planning on going and rounding up several others to go to.

I'll hang on as long as possible and then if I fall off I'll just tag on to someone else or join where ever I fit in!!

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

What you all need is James and Brenda leading the pack on their tandem- sub 5 including stops will be a sure thing!!

Whee-doggies!

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

Count me in for this attempt, sounds like fun.

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

I am going but I doubt I will be able to keep up @ 20 MPH for very long.

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

We should decide to meet somewhere next Sat. I will be there EARLY to get myself ready. So let me know later in the week where you want to meet and I will be there. Chris

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

Let's meet in the parking lot near the school entrance where they are doing registration. I was thinking of meeting at least 15 minutes before the ride starts. Let me know if someone has another idea.

Re: 20 m.p.h. Clarksville attempt

I'll be there...I dont know how long I could hold 20mph
