I have a jacket - two water bottles and a pair of sunglasses - all left at the school or a rest stop during the HOT 100. Let me know if they belong to you or someone you know.
oh - and we also found two really lost riders. Took one back to the Wilson County Fairgrounds - liked the HOT route marks much better than the BRAWC marks I suppose - and retrieved a really lost rider from Gassaway - I think he did the HOT 100, Crankin Cannon County, and the Big Hill Challenge all in one day! :-)
Talked to one other lost rider who started on the 66 route and somehow missed a turn. Talked a farmer into putting him and bike in back of his truck and taking him back to the rest stop at Readyville. From there he followed the 32 mile route back. He came out with 50 something miles as total. He rode a recumbent bike. He passed me about 3 miles to the finish.
I'm still lost. It's all a little blurry, but I started the 66 route and found myself at home at the end of the day. In between all I remember are a lot of water bottles, bananas, bagels and some kind of pre-made PB&J stuff. I think there may have been some duct tape involved and being chased by one less than motivated dog. But the weather and the ride were nice.
after i finished my shift and had been home and cooled my heels for a while and headed back to m'boro for the worker gathering--after all that. i saw a rider in woodbury.
