P.S. Jim -- you were right, it was all uphill on the way back (until the last big/long downhill). My altitude chart looks like a capital M. At least it was a gradual uphill, and we had the winds at our back.

P.P.S For anyone interested, I showed 3,181 feet of climbing, or about 50'/mile.

Great ride- lucked out on the weather! The peach cobbler and ice cream at Rock Island market hit the spot! Hope it was as good for you all as it was for me!
