My son Thomas (aged 12) has been off school since 7th October as his new school don't think they can cope with him! He was only there for less than 4 weeks and has a Band D statement so they knew what they were taking on. Since then his statement has changed to Band E and the council are having trouble finding a placement for him elsewhere. Can anyone advise me on home education? I think he will miss out on social interaction at home which is what he struggles with most. He doesn't have learning difficulties, but does have ADHD and ASD.

my son was suspended from primary school six times in his final year,but since attending secondry school he has had no behavior problems (at least not at school!). do you mind my asking why the school did not want him to continue attending. I can only guess how you must be feeling my son had to go to a meeting with us back in primary school to see if they would let him back after one of his suspensions and I was very worried as to where I was going to send him.May I add that the suspensions were always for small things at least it would start small refusal to do work,swinging on chair, tapping on table etc,but then the teacher would make a huge deal out of it and then we'd get meltdown( swearing etc)so he'd then be supended. He has ADHD and they think AS/ASD.He is 13.
