My suggestion is:




Organize a program of "friendly visitors" who are familiar with or would be trained in the special needs of Phd's.




These "friendly visitors" would provide companionship for the Phd's who spend MANY hours alone while caregivers are at work -- or provide companionship to Phd's whose caregivers are working at home or retired. So many scenarious and so much need to enrich the lives of the Phd's.
