Message:   Hello, This is my first time to post to your group. Nice Site. I'm 45, married, mother of two. I've been on total disability for the past 13 yrs. but I really haven't worked since 1988. This might be a little long........Here's my story...

I have had many problems throughout my life. But as I think back I showed signs of an autoimmune illness as a child, with apthous ulcers, hives, and allergic rhinitis. I've had 2 miscarriages and always started bleeding 8 weeks into each pregnancy. Pre-cancer of the cervix at age 18. Muscle spasms in one leg, at age 25. Now the real fun begins colitis/ulcertive colitis, Age 27 - hemorrhaged brain anuerysm and the next month cardiomyopathy of unknow etoligy, hiatal hernia, hepatic hemagiomas(blood vessel tumors on liver), 2 bulging 1 herniated disc in back, endometriosis, raynaud's, CREST syndrome, osteo arthritis, lymphocytic vasculitis, skin lesions, high cholesterol (medication does not help), dry eyes, seizures, brain fog, fibro, chronic fatigue, RLS, carpal tunnel both arms, neuropathy below both knees, pluerisy, costochondritis, etc and so on. Now the latest symtoms are painful swallowing - I've lost 15 lbs. since June(I lost the majority by Aug), what's nice about it is I didn't even have to try. Still waiting on an endoscope and waiting and waiting..lol My muscle spasms(charlie horses) have gotten much worse and are everywhere now- they changed my meds from flexeril to zanaflex and the latter worked for awhile now they don't help much anymore. I have had some really strange ones recently around the trunk of my body, like I'm being squeezed, one put me to my knees yesterday, it was sore around the ribs on my back all day - it's feeling much better today. My GP calls it undetermined connective tissue disease. All my labs are normal, I had "ONE" positive ANA years ago, nothing since. Well I think I've mentioned almost everything..lol I look forward in getting to know everyone.

Be Well!
Dawn
