My brother recently died of Hemochromotosis. Since then more brothers have been diagnosed and I am waiting for my test results as I am typing this. Apparently both my mother and father had this and we NEVER even heard the word before.
I am doing extensive research- I find it VERY interesting that autoimmune diseases underlying cause can be from HEMOCHROMOTOSIS. The autoimmune disease is a SYMPTOM. You must go to the doctor and demand special blood tests- (it is no determined from just regular routine blood tests- that is why it is so easily missed, that and most doctors never have even heard of Hemochromotosis) The blood test to ask for my name are as follows: TIBC-(total iron binding capacity, Serum Iron, Transferrin Iron Saturation, and HFE- (which a genetic test). THIS COULD LITERALLY SAVE YOUR LIFE. Hemochromotosis is 100% FATAL if left untreated. They treat you with phlebotomy. HEMOCHROMOTOSIS - causes: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, severe fatigue, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, (in it's early stages- the 1st and 2nd knuckles are usually involved), joint aches, diabetes, IBS,severe depression,damage to the adrenal glands,systemic genetic disease (LUPUS)--- the list goes on & on! I am NOT a doctor- just someone who is putting information together. I have web sites to go to and read valuable information that could be the reason WHY YOU ARE SICK!!! PLEASE ASK YOUR DOCTOR TO BE CHECKED FOR HEMOCHROMOTOSIS>>>>> having only ONE symptom YOURSELF, or one of your family members living or passed having one is enough in itself to be tested.
