I was wondering if anyone could possible help me. I was recently diagnosed with Indeterminate Auto Immune Disease-and the doctor said I am having lupus attacks but it is not full blown lupus because it has not shown up in my blood. This doesn't seem right to me. These are my symptoms- bouts of EXTREME fatigue(sometimes I can't lift my arms longer than a few seconds),Raynauds Syndrome, bad rashes during sun exposure on my arms and legs, acute chronic bursitis in my shoulders and hips, joint swelling and pain in my fingers and a few small lesions on my brain. I see a doctor at the U. of Penn in Phila, and she is treating me with steroid shots in my shoulders and hips every 3 months as needed (although I could use them every 6 weeks). Sometimes the episodes can last a week, or 2 days- I have had 5 within the last year. I am an active, fit, 37 yr old happily married mother of 2 small boys (ages 3 and 5). Does this diagnosis ring a bell with anyone and is there any advice you can give me? THANKS SO MUCH- MARYBETH |
