A few years ago I used to work with man who came from Zimbabwe.
He was a bit of a mickey taker, and didn’t believe in anything to do with ghosts the occult, or any form of religion. He used to say it was a load of rubbish.

One day I hade to pick him up fore work. I had forgotten I had left a book on the seat about dowsing, he picked it up read the first page then put it down without saying a word, I asked why he hadn’t commented on the book, he replied when he was in Africa we had to rely on dowsing to find water or we would have not survived.

It just goes to show you don’t have to believe in any religion to be a dowser.

If you are a dowser please tell us your methods and how you started.

something to do with the salts in the body rising to the surface as the body decomposes??

I have used dowsing during an investigation and have got positive responses

We did an investigation at Walton Hall, Warrington, and we were asking out questions (yes or no).

We determined through the rods that the spirit had 4 pets and all were buried in the grounds, we even spelt out a name. We found the graves of 4 pets and the name of the horse. Spooky eh!!

I cant see why dowsing would work but I am interested in any theories as to why it should. What is the theory about salt rising to the surface?
