Amiel Bstien
I'm researching my line of Bastiens. I've run into a block at Pierre Roquan Bastien. The info I have is: Philibert Roquan BASTIEN born ABT 1828-1830, St. Martin, Quebec, Canada married Nov 11, 1851 to Emerence BEAUCHAMP born ABT 1835 Quebec, Canada children i)Alabin ii)Maxime Roquan iii)Amiel (my g-grandfather) iv)Amable v)Virginie I also have a Philibert Bastien born ABT 1803, St. Martin, Quebec, Canada married 22 Sept, 1829 to Catherine Martin-LADOUCEUR born ABT 1802, Quebec, Canada Are these Philiberts the same man? The reason I ask is because I have seen somewhere that Philibert Bastien was married to 1)Catherine, then 2)Emerence. If they are the same person, do you have his real birthdate? To continue, I have Philibert being the son of Pierre Roquan Bastien and Charlotte MASSY (MASSIE). Pierre born 14 July,1755 married Charlotte MASSY on 14th May, 1798. Charlotte born ABT 1757. This is where I come against a block. My question is this. Is there any connection through documents that you have seen that Pierre Roquan BASTIEN is a brother to Francois ROCAN born 05 April,1753 (married 22 April 1771 to Marie-Marguerite LACASSE born 23 Jan 1750 or 1751)? If so, he would also be a son of Sebastien Leveille ROQUANT born 15 Oct 1728, Montreal, Que, Canada, (married 15 May 1752 to Marie Anne HOGUE born 23 Aug 1729). If there is no connection, do you have any idea who Philibert Roquan BASTIEN's parents were? Any help would be great. Thanks N0rml |
