The Scott brothers made it without any crashes or problems. We started near the front so as to avoid any crashes in the rain. We went a little slower than normal because of the weather and reduced brake efficiency. The Coleman rain jacket from Target did its job and was ditched into a well placed trash can at the bottom of Lookout. Despite all the rain and muck on my bike we were rewarded with sunshine and a great view on Lookout Mountain.
Next year I think I will surround myself with more mentally balanced people who will talk me out of starting a ride in that kind of weather. I think I need a rain bike... |
