Got caught in a pile-up near the start of the ride just before going thru the tunnel. From what I can remember, another rider decided they needed to squeeze in between me and the rider to my immediate left. There just wasn't enough room and the next thing I knew I was on the pavement with about three other riders on top of me.
I wound up with the expected road rash on my left hip, knee and elbow. My left brake and shifter console was bent in a bit but managed to re-adjust that at home last night while cleaning up the bike. The thing I hate worse about the whole ordeal is that I caught a pedal to the lower back that tore a big rip in my favorite shorts!
As Still Steve wrote, Suck Creek was "easy breezy" and the rest of the Metric ride was enjoyable as the weather finally broke by the time we left the first rest stop and Cary decided to ride back in with me.
Since Sunday turned out to be a "picture perfect" day, me and the women of the House Of Grubbs spent most of the day sight-seeing. We did the Chattanooga Market, Incline Railway and Point Park.
