I made the 3s3m my first century ride. What an epic ride. We had it all, lightning,torrential rain, adrenalin pumping decents in the rain. The clouds cleared away, and it turned into a beautiful day for the last climb. I am proud to say I rode the entire ride on a double, 53/39. I don't think I would have made it up Lookout without the cheering and coaxing of the crowd lining the roadside at the steepest section of the climb. I wound up riding with a great group of guys from Trace Bikes. This ride is a fantastic one, with police support at every red light and stop sign. You're treated like a rock star when you finish the ride with free beer, food and cheers from the crowd. WOW!, I can't wait to do it again next year. |
