Oh my gawd...what a ride. I made all but the last 1/4 mile of the 3rd mountain. Tish is a machine! She did great. The first mountain, was easy breezy, the 2nd was more like Burt Burgen (sp?), the 3rd was a monster...maybe it was because of starting at the 80 mile mark. When we past the last rest stop and made the left turn to the hill, there were already people walking. Not a real confidence builder. I made it to the point that it curved to the right (about six light poles from the end). This part of the road reminded me of the adventure ride that larry took us on last year where we were all walking up the gravel road.
We started out in the rain. Every pedal stroke had water pushing out from my shoes. Not a very pleasant ride. My name is Earl had a small spill towards the start, but managed to shake it off. Cary had a malfunction with his rear wheel, but managed to make it back too. I didnt see the Scott brothers, James & Brenda or Larry and Martha. About noon or so, the rain had stopped and the sun came out making for a nice ride.
