I was just looking at the MTB page, and noticed some stuff that wasn't quite right. Montgomery Bell now offers 25 miles of trail. Much more than is listed on the page. The parking fee has been discontinued at Monkeybell, also. Chickasaw Trace in Columbia is not associated with Chickasaw State Park which is on the way to Memphis. Middle TN also has a new trail at Long Hunter State Park. It isn't a long trail, but slowly growing. You can find it by going north on TN 840, taking the Couchville exit. Turn left and drive about 6 miles, if memory serves me correctly, to the second sharp bend in the road to the right, at which point you turn left onto a likely unmarked road. The trailhead is maybe a quarter mile ahead on the left. That's it. See you on the trail. Keep the rubber side down. |
