Can you train a 1 yr old Chi to like kids?? |

I have had my Chihuahua for 1 year and i love him dearly. I am 6 months pregnant with my first child and i know my dog doesn't like small children and babies. For the better half of his life he was not around any small children (10 was the age of the youngest child that he was introduced to). Recently i tried to put him around you ng children to see how he would react. Well, he nipped at a 9 month old while she was crawling on the ground (this was at a friends house) and when her mother picked him up he jumped up to the baby and ended up biting the mothers knee. I also had a 13 month old baby come over to our house and the baby was just sitting on the couch when my dog jumped up on the babys moms lap and he nipped at the baby. And ther have been other instanced where he would bark and growl at a young child.
I love my dog so much and i dont want to get rid of him, but i also don't want to risk putting my baby in danger.
Is there any way i could train him at 1 yr to not be agressive around babies?
