I love my chi to death... but am having a few problems with her. I got her after she was about a 8 months old. Now she is alittle over a year.
I travel on a regular basis to see my girlfriend who lives 3 hours away. She has not problem getting into the car, but once she does, after about 20 minutes she begins to pant. This panting continues the entire ride. Most times she sits on the seat next to me, I have tried having her in the cage, but that does not help either. She get so worked up that sometimes she even throws up. Anything I can do to make her relax in the car?
Also, her barking is starting to take a toll. People in my building are complaining about it. If she hears a noise she will bark, and stop, so that is not a big deal. But if there is somebody new around or another dog, she barks and will not stop until that person/dog is out of the picture. I do not mind some barking, but I would like to take her to the dog parks and have her in more social situations, but that is not possible. What are some ways to help control her barking? Please help.... e-mail or something... Thanks
