Family History Project
Does anyone in your society have any information on the following: My mother, Thressa (Surbrook) Luce tells of a fire that destroyed her family's home and businesses in Kinde, MI, Huron County. Her parents' names were Harry and Edna Surbrook. She, her 7 sisters and her parents lived in the 19 room house downtown. She said that the house, bakery and restaurant burned in one hour one night. We estimate the year to be between 1925 and 1930. Any information to assist with our family history would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly- Robin Luce |

The Bad Axe Library has microfilms for the Huron Daily Tribune for that period. Calling City Hall sometimes will give an closer date. |
