What is your background? How did you learn astrology?
I learned astrology when I was 30. I had a boyfriend who wouldn't open up and I just had to find out what was going on in there. I went to an astrologer and was so impressed, I started reading books. I discovered Liz Greene's book on Relating while on a health retreat in the mountains here. It changed my whole way of looking at the world. AFter that, it was Katie-Bar-the-Door!

I recommend self study for awhile. Most astrologers are -- and need to be -- quite independent. We look at the world differently. We like to think for ourselves. It's a different learning style, to say the least. At some point, check in with a mentor or a small class, just to test some of your theories. And practice with your guinea pig friends as much as they will let you!

You have to be above average intelligence to start with and have a certain kind of mind. After that, it takes 3 years to learn the basics and other two years to get the kinks out with real people.

I have this set out in the website but to reiterate, I have a college degree and worked for 15 years in real estate tax law before switching over fulltime into astrology. I have been studying something or other my whole life long -- lifelong student.
